A modified Ka?anov iteration scheme with application to quasilinear diffusion models

چکیده
The classical Ka?anov scheme for the solution of nonlinear variational problems can be interpreted as a fixed point iteration method that updates given approximation by solving linear problem in each step. Based on this observation, we introduce modified Ka ? anov , which allows (adaptive) damping, and, thereby, to derive new convergence analysis under more general assumptions and wider range applications. For instance, specific context quasilinear diffusion models, our approach does no longer require standard monotonicity condition coefficient hold. Moreover, propose two different adaptive strategies practical selection damping parameters involved.

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

In this paper initial boundary value problems, defined using quasilinear diffusion equations of Volterra type, are considered. These equations arise for instance to describe diffusion processes in viscoelastic media whose behaviour is represented by a Voigt-Kelvin model or a Maxwell model. We propose a finite difference discretization defined on a general nonuniform grid and we show second conv...

In this paper, a high-order and conditionally stable stochastic difference scheme is proposed for the numerical solution of $rm Ithat{o}$ stochastic advection diffusion equation with one dimensional white noise process. We applied a finite difference approximation of fourth-order for discretizing space spatial derivative of this equation. The main properties of deterministic difference schemes,...
متن کاملAccounting for Diffusion in Agent Based Models of Reaction-Diffusion Systems with Application to Cytoskeletal Diffusion
Diffusion plays a key role in many biochemical reaction systems seen in nature. Scenarios where diffusion behavior is critical can be seen in the cell and subcellular compartments where molecular crowding limits the interaction between particles. We investigate the application of a computational method for modeling the diffusion of molecules and macromolecules in three-dimensional solutions usi...
متن کاملApplication of He’s Variational Iteration Method to Abelian Differential Equation
In this paper, He’s variational iteration method (VIM) is used to obtain approximate analytical solutions of the Abelian differential equation. This method is based on Lagrange multipliers for identification of optimal values of parameters in a functional. Using this method creates a sequence which tends to the exact solution of problem. The method is capable of reducing the size of calculation...
